This topic applies to Dynatrace Managed installations only.
Dynatrace Server updates take place automatically. All you need to do is specify a convenient time when your users won’t be using Dynatrace Managed and the system can upgrade itself (for example, during a previously scheduled maintenance window).
Scheduling automatic updates
To define a start time for automatic updates:
- From the navigation menu, select Settings.
- In the Automatic updates section, turn on the switch for installing Dynatrace Server updates automatically.
- Specify a weekly maintenance window start time. Dynatrace Server updates will start at the time you specify.
Note: This setting does not affect the download of updates.
Before you begin
To run a successful update, you need at least 3 GB of available space on the partition where Dynatrace Managed is installed.
Your monitoring and cluster management pages won’t be accessible during the upgrade process.
